According to tradition, the Theodorov Icon of the Mother of God was written by the evangelist Luke.
The image was transferred from Jerusalem to Russian land, but when and by whom remains a mystery.
This ancient miraculous icon is still considered one of the most enigmatic and least studied great relics of the Orthodox Church.
