A SMALL GERMAN PORCELAIN GILT EWER, LATE 19TH CENTURY of squated ovoid form with a tapered neck, and a handle formed from foliate scroll, the body features two courtship scenes each in a gilt cartouche, the tapered neck has a grapevine, foliate and acanthus strapwork, marked with facsimile Royal Vienna blue underglaze factory mark with Germany; overall height: 17 cm (6 3/4 in.) CONDITION The ewer appears in very good orginial condition. Minor rubbing to the gilt detail, most notably around the base. Inspection under UV shows no apparent signs of restoration or repairs. N.B.
