A Royal Vienna Austrian porcelain cabinet plate. Partially obscured title, possibly "Griechische Wasserfrau" ("Greek Waterbearers"). A central figural work with Neoclassical style female figures, Greco Roman style architectural elements,a water well, flora, and other forms. Ornately hand decorated with a broad cobalt stripe to wide rim, having exquisite floral, scrolling, and geometric designs in a profusion of applied gold gilt. Produced in a style similar to contemporary Royal Vienna artist C. Forster. Title, with VIENNA, and Royal Vienna style shield backstamp to underside, possibly a Hutschenreuther or KPM acquired piece. No artist signature. Dimensions: 1.25 X 9.5 X 9.5 in. Condition: Good overall condition, having normal surface wear. Estate fresh to the market.
