An antique Royal Vienna Austrian porcelain lidded urn vase. Titled, "Erwartung" ("Expectation"). An amphora form with a hand painted portrait of female figure elegantly dressed in a purple gown. Iridescent burgundy ground with elaborately embossed gold flora with vine and leaf motif, and matching lid, intricately accented with painted dots of turquoise blue enamel. Dual opposing Art Nouveau style scrolling gilt handles. Artist signature FERD to lower right of portrait. Title to underside, with blue beehive mark. Dimensions: 15 X 6 X 5 in. Condition: Good overall condition having mild to average surface wear and gilt loss. Estate fresh to the market.
