A massive Russian silver-gilt and cut-crystal carafe. The silver lid with cast and chased Russian bogatyr Ilya Muromets head and the fairytale quote by Alexey Tolstoy "And He laid a tempered arrow". The rim also decorated by en-plein enamel inlay with "Boyar behind the Kremlin" depiction. 4th Moscow artel. 1908-1917. Height: 39.5 cm.
