19th century Russian icon. Made by Alexander Nikolaevich Krollu in 1882 in Vilnius. "Virgin and Child". Painted on wood. Gilded silver frame. Fabric on the reverse side with significant wear. Contrasts on the bottom side of the silver between 84 and Moscow silver (St. George). Dimensions: 13.5 x 11 x 1.5 cm. This authentic icon depicts the Mother of God.
