From the KPM Berlin Collection. Jeweled porcelain. Round shape "English smooth" with a double-row, pointed arch-like and rod-shaped piercing, as well as a passively curved edge. In the slightly recessed mirror and on the flag, a rich, finely lined relief and colorfully melted, raised enamel decoration of foliage and ribbon work, stylized flowers and drops, and pearls, partially on cobalt blue, delicate light blue backgrounds. Decorative marks include Paul Rogge. Scepter and sword marks. Diameter 25 cm. The decorative border exemplifies the application of the innovative technique of jewel painting, i.e. the relief-like application of differently colored enamel beads that convey the impression of precious gemstones.
