By Gerhard Schliepstein, white porcelain. Standing on a curved round base, a young man or young lady in a striding pose as counterparts. Either Gerhard Schliepstein, 1926. Model number K 826 and K 827. Manufacture mark. Height 46 cm - 47 cm. In the characteristic style of Schliepstein's works, which are characterized by the elongated proportions, the angular, partially flat modeling, and the expressive gestures. In the oeuvre of the significant sculptor, a series of comparable works can be found, which were created in the years 1925-1933, including "Woman with Deer," "Susanne," "Flute Player," and the female bust "Transfiguration." From 1911, he created porcelain figures, until 1925 for the Royal Porcelain Manufactory Berlin, later for the Schwarzburger Werkstätten, Heubach, Plaue, Meissen, and exclusively for Rosenthal since 1929.
