
Silver. Supported by four prominent ball feet, the teapot features a convex rectangular body with rounded corners and a wide projecting rim. The shoulder is framed by a broad, embossed frieze of acanthus leaves. Deeply set conical spout ending in a lion's head. The lid resembles a cap, with a carved wooden decorative arch and a large rosette of finely pierced spatulate leaves. Side handles made of ebonized wood. The body bears the monogram 'VN'. Made and marked by master Heinrich Anton Schauenburg (active since 1819). Approximate weight: 425 g. Height: 15.5 cm.
