Silver. Above an oval stand is a peripheral relief plastic body, structured with vertical relief lines. The curved profiled lid is fitted with a silver ballast hinged handle. In the central part, there is a consolidated spout. The handles, shaped like volutes, are made of ebonized wood. The item bears hallmarks: master’s signature, trepan line, 12-lot assay mark, and annual letter 'A', indicating the mastery of Sylvester Wolgemuth (who became a master in 1728). The weight is approximately 765 grams, height 25 centimeters. See Scheffler, Lower Saxony, Vol I, Nos. 481, 494; Scheffler, Celle, No. 23. This is a rare example of North German Baroque in the form of a silver mug, made by Sylvester Wolgemuth, a highly skilled silversmith. The standard hallmark indicates 12-lot purity, while additional marks confirm successful testing, inspection, and the master's mark. The letter 'A' suggests an approximate creation date of around 1740.
