Rare, elaborate Baroque sugar box.

Silver. Over a flat base, a bulging, oval body rises. Curved, almost rectangular hinged lid with rounded corners. Wall and lid divided into four sections by vertical pulls. Signed, marked by the master George Schmidt (active since approximately 1703). Weight approximately 345 g. Height 7 cm. 13 cm x 10 cm.
