OBJECT: A four-part icon in its complete original setting. KEY FEATURES: 1. SILVER OKLAD (RIZA): Chased silver, 84 grade. 2. MAKER AND DATE: Bears the master's mark "AA" of Andrey Adler, one of the leading Moscow silversmiths. The assayer's mark "A.F" confirms the date: 1888, Saint Petersburg. 3. PAINTING: Executed in oil on board in an academic manner. The painting is in pristine original condition without losses, demonstrating high artistic quality. 4. UNIQUE FEATURES – EXCEPTIONAL INTEGRITY: This icon is a rare example of preservation in its complete, original form: • The original velvet backing between the painting and the oklad has been preserved. • The reverse side of the board is entirely covered with the original velvet—a sure sign of a costly commission and careful preservation. 5. ICONOGRAPHY: Depicts four central Orthodox images: Tikhvin Mother of God, Christ Pantocrator, St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the Dormition of the Mother of God. 6. SIZE: 31.5 cm (height) x 26.8 cm (width). 7. CONDITION: The ensemble has remained remarkably intact. The oklad shows natural, uniform wear consistent with its age. The painting and both velvet coverings are in excellent condition.
