A hand painted figural scene, depicting Cupid (Amor) and Psyche, the Greek goddess of the soul, a popular Neoclassical motif. Royal blue and elaborately embossed gold patterned border. Artist signature C FORSTER (fl. circa 1790s) to lower right of portrait. Title to verso, with makers blue beehive mark. Dimensions: 1 X 10 X 10 in. Condition: Good overall condition having mild to average surface wear. Estate fresh to the market.
