Art Nouveau
Artistic movement of the turn of the 19th–20th centuries

Art Nouveau is a style in art that emerged at the end of the 19th century and continued into the beginning of the 20th century. This term encompasses various art forms, including painting, architecture, graphic art, and decorative and applied arts. Art Nouveau is distinguished by its strive for organicity, sinuous forms, and asymmetry, making it incredibly elegant and expressive. A characteristic feature of Art Nouveau is the use of beautiful, curved lines and vibrant natural motifs.
For example, many works in this style are inspired by natural forms, such as flowers and plants. An interesting fact is that modern Art Nouveau of the 1890–1910 convention was a response to industrialization and mass production, aimed at returning individuality and uniqueness to art. This style also became an important stage for preparing more radical movements, such as the avant-garde.
