Neo-Expressionism is an art movement that emerged in the late 1970s, returning to the expression of emotions through color and form. One of the most famous representatives is Jean-Michel Basquiat, who used his paintings as political and social commentary, as well as to convey his personal narrative story. Neo-Expressionism is also often connected with cyberpunk concepts, making it more relevant in modern times. Works in this style often evoke discomfort and force the viewer to break the boundaries of habitual perception.
