Edward Studennikov was born in Orl in 1945.In 1968, he graduated from the Higher Odessa School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, then he lived and worked in Smolensk.Since 1988, the artist has been living in the city of Moscow.All his creative life, Edward of Students deliberately avoided the ideological and other conjuncture, convinced him to join the Union of Artists, despite the recommendations and, as a result, was almost not exhibited in Soviet times.His name became known in the West after exhibitions of Russian art in the era of perestroika.In recent years, his work has gained the completeness of the mature master, who put him into a series of largest Russian painters.His works were exhibited in the central galleries of Germany, Great Britain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Finland, and also entered the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, Ludwigmuseum in Cologne, the Oxford Museum of Contemporary Art.Among the owners of his paintings are Sir Georg Sholti, Mstislav Rostropovich, Andrei Voznesensky, many prominent Russian and foreign politicians and entrepreneurs.A special evidence of his international recognition is the fact that in 1996 the artist was elected an honorary member of the oldest Chelsen Club of Arts in the UK.The painter is deeply and subtly feeling, devoid of any falsehood and unnaturalness, Edward of students, quoting the statement of the famous Moscow journalist, & laquo; belongs to the category of people disappearing as an ethnic appearance & raquo;.For the past ten years, he has been living almost unconditionally in the village of Suborovka, Smolensk province near the estate of the composer Glinka, completely devoting himself to creativity.At the same time, the artist’s exhibition schedule is scheduled for several years to come.The picturesque skill of E.
