Ceramics

Ceramics is an artistic direction associated with the creation of objects from clay with subsequent firing. The art of ceramics has deep roots and belongs to the most ancient forms of human creativity. Using various techniques, such as modeling, shaping, and glazing, craftsmen create both utilitarian and decorative items that can be both functional and works of art.

Ceramics exists in many styles, adequately reflecting the culture and era; created objects can vary from simple clay pots to complex artistic objects, such as sculptures and panels.

Interesting fact: one of the earliest examples of ceramics, found in China, dates back to 18,000 BC!

Over time, ceramics continued to evolve, adopting new forms and ideas, from faience to majolica and modern ceramic art.
