Post-Impressionism

Post-Impressionism is not just a continuation of Impressionism, but a unique stage in the history of art that emerged at the end of the 19th century. Artists of this movement, such as Van Gogh, Cézanne, and Gauguin, used Impressionist techniques but sought deeper emotional expression and personal interpretation. The Post-Impressionists rejected the idea that art should only reflect light and color.

They used bright, saturated colors and extravagant forms to convey their perception of the world. This approach became the foundation for future art movements, such as Fauvism and Expressionism, enriching art with new emotions and concepts. Unconventional and bold, their works provoked many discussions and caused a wave of criticism, but over time they became classics!
