Mixed Media
The combination of various artistic materials and techniques in a single work

Mixed media is a method of creating a work in which the artist combines different materials and techniques: watercolor with ink, oil with acrylic, collage with painting, and even porcelain with metal. This approach creates unexpected visual effects and a unique texture. This technique became especially popular in the 20th century, when artists sought experimentation and broke down boundaries between genres.
It's amusing that Picasso, for example, could embed a real spoon into his collage!
Combined techniques allow the expression of complex ideas, offer openness to bold solutions, and constantly inspire collectors to search for unconventional artifacts.
