Royal Copenhagen

Description

Vase in the shape of a Leaf, relief pattern, porcelain, traditional cobalt painting. Denmark, Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Half Lace, length 14 cm. Very rare shape, produced at the beginning of the factory's operations.

Before you is a Royal Copenhagen dish with blue fluted leaves and a handle. This is a rare and wonderful item, the same size and design as number 1/149 (this dish was made before the introduction of the blue fluted numbering system around 1894). This is the medium size (out of 3) of these rare and highly sought-after leaf dishes.

The dish is of first quality from the factory, made and hand-painted in Denmark in the late 1800s, before 1894. It is masterfully painted by painter number 15. The intricate finish of blue fluted lace showcases the highest level of porcelain craftsmanship. Every little hole in the elaborate lace border is carefully made by hand and highlighted with blue brushstrokes. Truly elaborate and beautiful.

Created in 1775, revised in 1885 by Artistic Director Arnold Krog. The same year Royal Copenhagen was founded in Denmark. To this day, the model is referred to as "Service No. 1" at Royal Copenhagen and has been in continuous production for more than 240 years. The Blue Fluted Full Lace is among the favorites of collectors of Royal Copenhagen Exclusives. The rich details of Blue Fluted Full Lace are a testimony to the finest porcelain craftsmanship.
