Holovatsky Vitaliy

Description

Surrealism is most often perceived as a somewhat dark and grim world, where we encounter something incomprehensible, elaborate, and sometimes even hostile and dangerous. However, in the works of Vitaly Glovatsky, the surreal takes on not only an optimistic but also a fairy-tale quality, for which the word "tall tale" is applicable.

The works are very interesting and beautiful. They remind many of the long-forgotten steampunk style. This style is very beautiful and stands out for its uniqueness and a certain sense of antiquity. Steampunk, in general, is a style of mechanical wonders, a kind of chaos, objects operating without modern fuels that so pollute the environment. The author's works closely resemble the style used in the new game "Alice in Wonderland," where steampunk is actively utilized. Most likely, the author, like many before him, aimed to convey through his paintings the need to cleanse the planet of harmful emissions, as well as unnecessary waste.

BRIGHT SURREALISM OF VITALY GOLOVATSKY

VITALIY GOLOVATSKY
BRIGHT SURREALISM OF VITALY GOLOVATSKY
BRIGHT SURREALISM OF VITALY GOLOVATSKYV. GlavatskyOften surrealism is perceived as a somewhat dark and gloomy world, where we encounter something incomprehensible, whimsical, and sometimes hostile and dangerous. But in the works of Vitaly Golovatsky, surrealism acquires not only an optimistic tone. The artist-surrealist Vitaliy Golovatsky was born in 1952. In 1989, he graduated from the Moscow Art School named after 1905. He worked in the field of graphic interior design. After 1995, he completely switched to easel painting. He constantly participates in exhibitions at the "Russian Cultural Center" gallery in Vienna.and the "Mobil-Art" gallery in London. The artist's works are in private collections in Russia, England, Austria, Germany, France, and other countries. Speaking of stylistic characteristics, his work definitely contains a mix of elements of surrealism, op art (optical illusions in the style of Maurits Escher), a little symbolism, and retro-steampunk (in images of machines and constructions). And, actually, I present the artist's work in the form of three groups of images, the first of which are Maurits Escher-inspired architectural motifs. And as an example, I will start with the work of Maurits Cornelis Escher (1898-1972) - a Dutch graphic artist.-2O article-image-with-viewer__caption" aria-hidden="true" >Maurits Cornelis Escher.V. Golovatsky.V. Golovatsky.V. Golovatsky. In this work by V. Golovatsky, you can see motifs not only of Maurits Escher, but also a clear influence of "Hunters in the Snow" by Pieter Bruegel the Elder:The second group of works by V. Golovatsky is dedicated to architectural teapots. I have previously presented a post with one of the artist's works, where I talked about the history of the emergence of the second meaning of the word teapot, meaning a novice in any business. V. And the third, concluding group of the artist's works presented here, is devoted to fantastic means of transportation, executed in steampunk style, and designed for movement on land, in water, and in the air...
