Marks: Maker – Mikhail Sergeyevich Volganin; hallmark from the Moscow District Assay Office – a female head in a kokoshnik, facing left, with the initials of the district manager I. Lebedkin – IL and the mark for silver products – 84.
This silver punch set of 8 pieces represents a magnificent example of the Neo-Russian style from the late 19th to early 20th century, featuring large dimensions and a pronounced decorative quality. In the center of the round tray on legs is a large bowl shaped like a small cauldron on a stand, adorned with an intricate floral pattern created with a burin. The tray is also covered with a carved burin pattern. Surrounding the bowl are 6 small cups featuring a carved burin design on their bodies.
