Henry Hoffman (1875 - 1939) founded his own factory in the manufacture of pressed glass in the apple, expanding the family business for the manufacture of buttons and jewelry, begun by his father, Franz Hoffman.Around 1899, Henry Hoffman founded a branch in Paris.

Already at this time, the company produced small sculptures and vases, both from the pressed and from cast glass, placing orders at the Joseph Ridle factory in North Bohemia.At the beginning of the 20th century, the company's son -in -law Hoffman - Gunter Schlefgodt begins to work at the enterprise.After the death of his wife, he founded his own enterprise, receiving the press form from Hoffman.

Hoffman-Shlefgodt was placed by the development of the enterprise by the Second World War and the death of Henry Hoffman in the same year that began in 1939.
