
William / Wilhelm Geren (1838-1912) was born near Lemozh and studied porcelain technique.After military service in 1836, he rented a workshop for decorating porcelain on the outskirts of Mongzhovi (Lemozh), engaged in export.Around 1872, Geren headed the Lebron & Amp porcelain workshop;Cie.
Then, in 1877, he bought a porcelain factory founded by Juanno and Dubois on Peti-Tour Street (Limozh), which was bought in 1867 by Utzschneider.Sarreguemines is controlled by Leopold Dubois.This expanded company produced a wide range of goods, sold a lot of dishes, and also continued to decorate.The sons of Hermen William and Andre joined the company in 1903.In 1911, W. Guérin & amp;CIE united with the neighboring Pouyat factory, having bought 3/4 of Pouyat;The new company became Guérin & AMP;Cie.
Perhaps both brands of the company were continued.The First World War greatly reduced production.In 1920/21 Bawo & amp;Dotter Ltd., also owning Elite, bought Guérin & amp;CIE has become Guérin Pouyat Elite, and Karl Bavo has become a technical director since 1923.The brands of all three firms continued to be used.The factory closed in 1932 and was demolished in 1933.
