Silver. On display is a round-footed pear-shaped body with a short, high-set console spout. The hood-like domed lid and surrounding wall are articulated by gracefully curved, vertical lines. The wooden knob and handle are present. The stand is on both the underside and the top, each with different engraved owner's inscriptions and later dates of 1788 and 1884. Maker's mark, trembler stroke, assay mark, mostly by master Johann Georg Kloss (became a master in 1738). Weight approximately 255 g. Height 18 cm. Compare with Seling, 2007, No. 2300, BZ 2050. A small Baroque silver mocha pot by Johann Georg Kloss (master since 1738). Double owner's inscription and each dated added later. Test, assay, and master's mark. German. Augsburg. 1751-1753.
