Porcelain plates with hand-painted designs inspired by the paintings of Alexander Ivanovich Sauerweid - "Private of the Life Guards Gendarmerie Half-Squadron", “Private of the Life Guards Cavalry-Esquire Regiment” from 1818-1819. The author of the hand painting is Olga Volkova. Material: porcelain, hand-painted. Diameter of the plate: 100 mm. The price is indicated for 1 plate! Framing is possible. The tradition of making “military” plates (military porcelain) began in the 1810s under Emperor Alexander I and continued until the 1910s. Such decorations were especially valued by Nicholas I, a fan of parades and military uniforms, and continued by his successor Alexander II. Plates were produced in series, with a common theme and design. They vary in color and decoration of the borders: “red,” “turquoise,” “lilac,” and “golden.” The plates were painted by the best artists of the factory: V.D. Elashevsky, M.V. Kryukov, V.N. Midin, A.F. Mironov, V.A. Stoletov, N.A. Yakovlev, O. Volkova, and others.
